ANGP 2008-Less than 2 months away!

All Night Grad Party is held the night of graduation, June 12, from 11PM- 5AM the next morning. This is an opportunity for newly graduated LHS seniors to spend one last night together, safely among friends, in a drug- and alcohol-free environment, before they begin the next chapter of their lives.

Langley's ANGPs have always been very successful and very well supported- attendance is usually around 90% or better.  (Kids start the year claiming they wouldn't go to something so "lame"-- but by the end of the year, it suddenly is not quite such a bad idea after all.) Also, the ANGP couldn't run without many volunteers, almost all senior parents!

The ANGP Prize Patrol is out and about and looking for contributions! You may donate cash or prizes - no item/amount is too large or small. The sooner you donate, the better, as the prize publicity creates the ANGP frenzy we are hoping for!  Here's what we need:

1. Prizes: Basically, if your kid wants it, we want it!  Wii systems and games, Guitar Hero, digital cameras, TVs, XBOX, laptops, portable DVD players, iPODs, clock radios, concert tickets, headphones, speaker systems, DVDs, jewelry, handbags, dorm fridge, sports equipment, sports memorabilia, the list could go on forever!  Use your imagination!
2. Cash: Most prizes are purchased by the ANGP Prize Patrol.  Please consider writing a check so we can keep the kids safe, happy and obsessed with our large and fabulous array of prizes.
3. Raffle Baskets: Get together with your senior parent friends and design a basket, or simply donate items for us to assemble.  Some ideas are: Beach (anything useful for Beach Week-sunglasses, sunscreen, beach chair and towel, cooler, games, gift certificates to restaurants, flip-flops, etc), Date (gift certificates to movies, restaurants, popcorn and candy), Spa (Sephora, Bath and Body, manicure/pedicure, salon/hair), Concert (Ticket Master, chair, blanket, snacks, etc.), Munchies (nothing but cookies, cakes, soda, chips and dips, etc), College (anything a freshman may need).
4. Armchair funding:  Not sure what to get but want to make a donation more personal than cash?  We offer personal shopping services-you tell us what you want to donate and give us the funding, then leave the rest to us; you never have to leave the comfort of your office/house/life. The Prize Patrol is looking for a few good shoppers; anyone who excels in retail therapy is welcome!  Contact Sherri McMasters, sherrimcm@aol.com.
5.  Gift certificates: Best Buy, Sephora, Coach, Apple, Starbucks, movies, Bed Bath and Beyond, restaurants, local McLean hangouts, Tysons, Circuit City, clothing stores. Rule of thumb: ask your child what they want and what is a HOT item; what they want is what we want. Oh, and they will tell you, cash is good too.
