CLASS NEWS 

• The Special Moments Committee has been formed to begin gathering photos and video of the Class of 2015 throughout their four memorable years at Langley.  Here is where we need your help:  The Committee cannot be everywhere all the time but YOU are always at the memorable moments of your child’s life and probably with a camera in hand.   We are asking you to share those great shots with us.  The goal of the Special Moments Committee is to have every student represented in the Class Video.  In addition, we hope to have a broad range of sports, club events and extracurricular activities represented.  The Special Moments Committee will make every effort to ensure that these goals are met but, in the end, our success depends on the participation that we receive from you. We are beginning to compile photos for our senior slide show.  We realize this is three years away, but we want to have pictures from each year and this will be much easier if we start now!  If you have any photos of our students from Langley events, please email them to Elizabeth Trumbull, LHS2015photos@gmail.com.

Jan Dabroski, Langley’s Assessment Coach, has asked that you please remember to keep the paper copies of all your student’s scores from ACT Explore and PSAT testing (even making a folder).  When it comes time to take the SAT and the ACT, it is helpful to refer back to these scores in determining which test to take.  If you have any questions or need your ACT Explore results, please contact Jan at Jldabroski@fcps.edu.

Don’t forget our wonderful freshman class products that are still for sale.  There are green and white golf umbrellas ($30) and rugby style scarves ($35).  Perfect to protect you from spring showers or to keep you warm on cool spring days!  Contact Kristin Bonacci, KritterT33@aol.com

TEEN TRAFFIC SAFETY PROGRAM – NEW FOR DRIVER’S EDUCATION INFORMATION

This Registration form for SafeTeen Program should be completed by students not currently enrolled in Fairfax County Public School’s grade 10 health and physical education, including FCPS students in grade 11, homeschooled students, private school students, and students from other school divisions who plan to attend a Partners for Safe Teen Driving presentation at an FCPS high school with a parent/guardian. http://www.fcps.edu/is/hpe/documents/RegistrationSafeTeen.pdf
